Heart for Life was established in 2018. Our mission is to fund research that can increase organ longevity and help give a better quality of life for heart transplant recipients. We support research that can help locate and possibly treat chronic heart rejection and support other ways other than invasive testing to better locate long-term rejection. We are also interested in projects that may be able to look at anti-rejection meds. Although, these medications are life-saving to organ recipients, they are also toxic and have many unfavorable side effects. They also leave the recipient vulnerable to infections and other serious diseases. Currently, we are funding projects with University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Heart for Life is a registered 501 (c) (3) charity. Fed. Tax ID 84-1950867
